Profitable Keywords For Adsense
Profitable keywords for adsense - picking great keywords doesn't happen by accident. If you plan on having your website rank on page one in google then you MUST have a system of finding profitable keywords.
Gotta KNOW How Many Searches a Keyword Receives - This is the part that too many beginning Internet marketers and adsense publishers totally screw up - I know - I used to screw this up big time!
Most people rely on tools like word tracker, Wordz, or Niche inspector to find out a keyword's "daily search volume".
These tools are pretty slick in that they compile lots of data and generate lots of keyword ideas that you may never have thought of. As brainstorming tools they're great. But you know what? They will waste your time and let you down. You'll get burned if you believe the keyword tools are 100% accurate.
Is The Estimated Keyword Daily Search Volume Really That High?
I recently started researching a keyword that had an estimated search volume of 1,906 searches a month. That's about 63 searches a day. After running a real time test I found that this particular term received about 5 to 6 searches DAILY or about 30 a month.
Why so "off"?
I'm not really sure about that...old compiled data, merged data from different indexes, artificial searches indexed as real hits to search database etc... the keyword tools never really reveal how they get the estimated search volume.
Bravo! Number One In Google For Keyword No One Cares About!
Still, even if I was number ONE in google for that search term it's still not worth my time. Why write 20-30 or more pages of content to receive maybe 5 visitors a day?
Of course, in the past I would have "bypassed the real time testing method" and created what I thought was a killer niche website for that keyword - and then wondered " Why am I not getting any traffic?". Big loser.
The best method I've found for real time testing that is as close to flawless as you can get is from adsense connection. It shows you step by step how to run the simple test to find profitable keywords for adsense. You will get a google report of how many searches a day a term receives - nothing "estimated"
You do this long enough and you put a higher value on your TIME, believe me.
Criteria For a Profitable Keyword
Decent Number Of Searches - I've been successful with terms getting between 40-200 searches daily. There's no real "definitive number" however. If you rank in the top 5 in google you will more than likely get those 40-200 searches daily. For long term profits think "many" websites that cover "small niches".
Low Competition - This is what SEO folk call "SERP's". Search engine results page. Easy to check. Go to google and type in - make money - you'll see that there are 105,000,000 competing pages indexed in google for those two words.
I don't recomend creating a website around - make money - it would be the SEO equivilent of your local high school footbal team playing the NY Giants.
Profitable Keywords For Adsense are easier to rank high in google when competition is LOW. Shoot for search terms with less than 50,000 competing web pages - under 20,000 is better and under 10,000 is a slam dunk.
Advertiser Interest - Look For High PPC So you found a niche that receives 150 daily searches and has only 12,000 competing websites in google.
Do you begin writing content?
No! you need to confirm one more critical step!
You NEED to make sure there is a way to monetize your website, either through an affiliate program or adsense ads that matches your website theme.
Profit potential is easy to find out
A good tool to find the current bids on any keyword can be found here:Google Adwords Tool
If you intend on generating adsense clicks make sure that advertisers are bidding a decent buck ( PPC pay per click) for your intended search term.
For example, the term "custom leather craft" gets about 3000 searches monthly with only roughly 12,500 competing sites in google. Potentially an EASY term to rank for...
However...I would think twice about creating an adsense site based at what advertisers are willing to bid to get their PPC ad on page 1 in google -which is about .60 cents. Remember, you'll get a % of the revenue generated per click. In this case it would only be a few cents at most per click.
Just do the math and make an educated guess...say you recieve 80% of the 100 visitors daily to your site. That's 80 unique visitors.
Say you get a CTR ( click through ratio) of 10% or 8 people click on your adsense ads...you'll probably get .03 to .06 per click so expect about .48 cents daily. Is it worth your time?
Profitable keywords for adsense = Low Competition - High Search Volume - High PPC
So find niches with under 50,000 serps, at least 40-200 daily search volume and PPC bids at least $2.00 and you have a good baseline to start an adsense type website.
Get these 3 things in synch repeatedly and you can quit your day gig. Most serious adsense publishers work feverishly to ferret out the hidden profitable niches contained in many larger niches - launching a couple new sites every month.

Clarisa, to find search volumes for specific keywords you intend to use for an adsense you'll need to run your own tests. Don't trust the keyword tools...adsense connection is the best course I've seen to nail this down...If you don't get accurate search volume info you're wasting your time...
