Picking Profitable Niche Keywords For Your Adsense Website

:: "Adsense can be an amazing passive income generator but ONLY if you know how to pick profitable niches ..."

Niche keywords for your adsense website - The first MAJOR mistake many adsense publishers make is picking the wrong keywords to base their website around.

Spending lots of time writing content around keywords you THINK are popular will waste hours and hours of your time.

The good news for adsense webpage developers is there is a way to KNOW EXACTLY which keywords are actually are being searched for and it DOES NOT rely on using keyword tools like word tracker or niche inspector.

More on this ahead so keep reading...to recap...

To be profitable with adsense websites your keywords MUST have these characteristics:

  • Have low SERP's ( search engine results pages)
  • Have high number of consistent daily searches
  • Share a decent portion of the adsense "click revenue"

Why?

It's much easier to rank well in google SERP's (search engine results pages ) when there is low competition for for the key word that you are optimizing your web page for.

So, you're searching for keywords with low competition (other websites with that particular keyword search term) and high demand which means, web surfers are typing that particular keyword or keyword phrase into the google search engine at a desired daily frequency. Of course the payout on the clicks should be enough to make your efforts worthwhile. You could easily rank high in google for search terms that no advertisers are creating ads for - you don't want to do that.

So, to be profitable publishing adsense websites we need to find lots of keywords that meet these criteria above and build websites with those keywords in mind.

Keyword Tools Can Fool You

Keyword data, especially "number of searches" on a keyword, from any tools like wordtracker, niche inspector or technobloggie is many times questionable. You can't afford to be guessing if a keyword is popular, you need to know HOW MANY SEARCHES the keyword is actually getting daily. Relying soley on these tools to choose popular and profitable keywords and then actually building a website around the keywords , takes considerable time...time you DON'T need to waste.

You need to build your niche website around keywords and terms that people are actually searching for.

SO...

When your doing keyword research, don't rely only on the keyword tool results!

Hey I'm Not Keyword Tool Bashing...

I'm not knocking the many keyword tools out there. I use "niche inspector" a LOT and have built about 20 profitable websites using this as an initial tool.

You can't beat Niche Inspector for the amount of amazing raw data it generates, related keywords, SERPS which are are usually close to correct, generally in the ballpark but many times it's the DEMAND portion of the keyword result that is inaccurate. I've proven it with real time testing. Not always, but enough times to make me skeptical. I've been burned a few times believing that the number of searchs returned by the keyword tool was accurate but HAD to be incorrect.

if you are going to take your valuable time to write content you NEED to have accurate information regarding HOW MANY searches are actally being done daily or monthly on your target keyword - or your wasting your time.

Why write 50 pages of content for a keyword that gets 3 searches a day? The keyword tool says there are 3500 searches a month but actually there are only 5 a day. How can you really know??

Example : I just ran a keyword research tool on the term "security camera for home"

Initially it looked like an awesome niche: 7300 searches monthly and only 3300 websites competing for this term in google.

I used a real-time testing method and guess what? I found it was only receiving less than 5 searches daily. Hardly enough traffic to warrant my time writing content based on that keyword. This is a primary reason "would-be" adsense publishers quit - out of frustration!

Accurate Search Information is Easy To Get

Reality vs Keyword tool data - By using google adwords you can nail down EXACTLY how many searches are being conducted on a given keyword, any time. It takes couple hours but it's well worth it. I would recommend anyone serious about publishing adsense websites take the to learn the correct step by step adsense method from adsense connection .

This method is great because it truly shows you how to analyze a few simple pieces of data to find out exactly how many people are searching for a particular term - and that is the backbone of any adsense campaign - no searches - no clicks. Once you've picked a niche you know has lot's of searches and few competitors your chances of making steady money in adsense skyrocket. here's the link : adsense connection

Patel - Wordtracker is a great tool for gathering and distilling massive amounts of keyword data. The problem I've had was that there's discrepency between what the keyword tool returns as number of searches compared to running my own test. Typically with most keyword tools the SERPS are accurate but many times inaccurate regarding # of searches. You need to run your own test in real time to see how many searches a keyword actually received in order to pick the best niche keywords.
